Ledger is a leading provider of hardware wallets designed to secure and manage cryptocurrency assets. To get started with your Ledger device, follow the steps outlined below.
1. Visit Ledger.com/Start
Open your web browser and navigate to ledger.com/start.
2. Choose Your Ledger Device
Select the model of your Ledger device (Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano S Plus, or Ledger Nano X).
3. Download Ledger Live
Ledger Live is the official software to manage your Ledger hardware wallet.
Click on the download button for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
For mobile devices, go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for "Ledger Live."
4. Install Ledger Live
For Desktop:
Windows: Run the downloaded installer and follow the setup instructions.
macOS: Open the downloaded .dmg file and drag the Ledger Live app to your Applications folder.
Linux: Follow the specific installation instructions provided for your Linux distribution.
For Mobile:
Open the App Store or Google Play Store and install the Ledger Live app.

Open the Ledger Live application on your desktop or mobile device.
2. Initialize the Application
Choose "Get Started" to begin the setup process.
3. Select Your Ledger Device
Choose your Ledger device model (Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano S Plus, or Ledger Nano X).
4. Connect Your Ledger Device
For Desktop: Use the provided USB cable to connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer.
For Mobile: Connect your Ledger device via Bluetooth (Ledger Nano X) or using an OTG cable (Ledger Nano S, Ledger Nano S Plus).
1. Set Up as New Device or Restore from Recovery Phrase
Set Up as New Device:
Follow the prompts to create a PIN code on your Ledger device.
Write down the 24-word recovery phrase displayed on your device on the provided recovery sheet. This phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if the device is lost or damaged.
Restore from Recovery Phrase:
Choose the option to restore your device and enter your 24-word recovery phrase.
2. Install Firmware
Ledger Live will check if your device's firmware is up to date. Follow the prompts to install any available updates.

Navigate to "Accounts" and click "Add Account."
Select the cryptocurrency you want to add.
Follow the prompts to allow Ledger Live to communicate with your Ledger device.
The account will be added and displayed in the Ledger Live interface.
